Procedures of
Coming to Our University
With the "Admission Letter for Overseas
Student Wishing to Study in China Three Gorges University",
the "Form of Entry Visa for Overseas Students"(JW202 form),
and the "Report for Health Check-up", the applicant accepted
by China Three Gorges University can go to their local Embassy
of the People's Republic of China or the general consular
section nearest them to handle the relevant relocation procedures.

The Department of International Relations
(DIR) of China Three Gorges University is responsible for
the affairs concerning the consultation, verification, admission,
enrollment and administrative management of foreign students.
Please contact DIR for more specific information or ask for
the application forms for studies. Once accepted by the China
Three Gorges University, you will receive an admission letter
and the form "Entry Visa for Foreign Students" (JW202 form)
from DIR. Please write to us if you have any questions about
studying in China Three Gorges University.

Procedures of
Application
Applicants may write by post or e-mail
or make a phone call to the Department of International Relations
(DIR) asking for enrollment procedures and relevant information.
The applicant will kindly be required to submit the following
materials by mail:
*"Application Form for Overseas Students Wishing to Study
in China Three Gorges University"
*"Report of Health Check-up"
*Photocopies of Diplomas or Certificates and Official Grade
Records
*Financial Guarantees
*Recommendation Letters by two professors for applicants wishing
to study postgraduate courses
*Enrolling fees(cheque) 10 US Dollars
After receiving the above materials, the DIR will write to
the applicant confirming if the materials are complete.
The DIR will airmail to the applicant the admission letter
and the JW202 form for entry visa authorized by the Chinese
government.

4.Meals
Foreign students should pay for
their own meals. The estimated meal expense is between USD
30-70 per month, per person.

Enrollment and
Registration
The applicant accepted by China Three Gorges
University should come to the university to register upon
the requirements of the admission letter, which include the
Admission letter for Overseas Student of China Three Gorges
University, registration fees, tuition and 10 half length
portrait photos (for long-time residential certificate and
student certificate). The Department of International Relations
(DIR) is the place to accept the enrollment procedures.
Students who cannot register in time should
present a statement in written form to the DIR and request
an registration extension.

Other Information
Climate:
Yichang, located in the center of China
and the middle of the Yangtze River, and is only 289 kilometers
away from Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei Province. There
are four seasons a year with the highest temperature of 38
¡æ in summer and the lowest temperature of -4 ¡æ
in winter.
Entertainments:
The entertainment available on campus is
rich and interesting. You can enjoy many activities in the
clubs, cinema, gymnasium, sports ground and dancing hall.
Shopping:
There is a shopping center on campus, where
you can find stores, groceries, barber shop, restaurants,
bookstores and food market. Medical Treatment: There is a
hospital and clinic on campus. Overseas students could either
handle their medical insurance procedures in DIR, or see a
doctor each time with payment.
Tourism:
The university is near to the world famous
Yangtze Three Gorges scenic zone, which covers abundant natural
scenery as well as the culture and civilization of CHU, which
were prosperous during the Warring States Period, l700 years
ago. The overseas students may spend their vacations traveling
accross China by boat, train, bus or airplane from Yichang.
